Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring our finances,
systems and operations are resilient at scale.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior
management to develop financial strategies for the organization. Needs
to be comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business
partner, decision-maker, and providing regular financial reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Maintaining a robust internal control environment including
appropriate financial policies and procedures.
* Maintaining an appropriate financial system to support the
processing, reporting and management of all financial transactions.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Preparation of annual financial statements and management of the
year end audit process.
* Preparation of budgets and rolling projections and monitoring
subsequent performance.
* Manage the daily activities of financial accounting and month end
activities which includes the general ledger, accounts receivable,
accounts payable, disbursement payments, payroll, credit card and
employee claims, credit control, bank reconciliations, fixed asset
register maintenance and reconciling control accounts.
* Preparation of grant applications and monitoring compliance with
and reporting on grant agreements.
* Leading in the development, continuous improvement and monitoring
of key processes, controls and KPI?s across the business.
* Support the Company Secretary with governance activities including
the preparation of Board packs and meeting minutes and handling annual
statutory returns to the CRO, CRA etc.
* Supporting contract negotiations and preparing tender responses
for commercial contracts.
* Preparation of cost-benefit analyses for asset purchases and
investments.
* Liaising and building effective relationships with various
stakeholders both internally and externally.
* Keep up to date of changes in the regulatory, financial and tax
environments to ensure the organisation is compliant in all areas.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
* A qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with 5+ years
post-qualification experience.
* Strong analytical ability, excellent numerical and problem-solving
skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
* A highly motivated, strategic thinking, hands-on self-starter,
with the highest professional standards.
* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and
collaboration skills.
* Ability to summarise findings and conclusions in a succinct and
professional manner, tailored to senior management and board level
audience.
* Good commercial acumen, with the ability to drive measurable
results.
* Strong excel skills, with financial modelling experience an
advantage.
* A strong social conscious.
